Housing

Housing in Sequim

Sequim has a surprisingly wide mix of housing for a small town. It’s especially known as a retirement destination, so there are many 55+ manufactured-home parks, retirement communities, condos, and low-maintenance neighborhoods, but there are also standard apartments, newer townhome developments, rural acreage homes, and HOA-style planned communities.

55+ Parks and Senior Communities

These are some of the retirement-oriented communities in Sequim:

Lavender Meadows MHC — newer upscale 55+ manufactured-home community with clubhouse, pickleball, dog parks, and planned amenities

Juniper Mobile Estates — established age-restricted park (62+).

Clasen Cove Estates — 55+ manufactured-home park with clubhouse and recreation facilities.

Parkwood Mobile Home Park — one of the better-known senior parks locally; residents mention clubhouse, gym, sauna, and landscaped lots.

Dominion Terrace — senior-oriented fourplex/townhome-style development with HOA structure.

Condos & Townhomes

Sequim has a good number of condo developments, especially for retirees and downsizers:

Solana neighborhood — planned HOA-style neighborhood that originally started as 55+ before restrictions loosened.

Jennie’s Meadow

Sunland condos & golf community homes

Diamond Point condos (east of Sequim)Sherwood Village townhomes

Cedar Ridge townhomes

Newer Carlsborg-area townhome developments are also being built due to population growth.

Most Sequim condos are: single-level or low-rise, HOA-managed, aimed at retirees or second-home owners, quieter and lower-maintenance than urban condos.  You won’t find dense urban-style condo towers here.

Apartments & Rentals

Sequim has fewer apartments than larger Washington cities, but there are some established complexes:

Elk Creek Apartments — one of the larger apartment communities in town.

Suncrest Village Retirement Community — senior-oriented apartment living downtown.

Mt View Court Apartments

Other apartment options tend to be: smaller complexes, duplexes/fourplexes, ADUs and cottages, private rentals through property managers like Blue Sage Property Management

Master-Planned & Newer Single-Family Communities

Cedar Ridge, Sequim

One of the most established planned communities in Sequim. It’s a 179-lot neighborhood with trails, open space, clubhouse amenities, sidewalks, and maintained landscaping. Homes tend to be newer craftsman/rambler styles with mountain and Strait views in some sections. It’s popular with retirees but not strictly 55+.

Good fit if you want: HOA-maintained appearance, Walking-friendly layout, Mostly newer homes, Quiet, retirement-oriented atmosphere without age restrictions

Willow Creek Manor

A developing subdivision near Carrie Blake Park with larger lots than many newer neighborhoods.

Highlights:

  • Closer to downtown Sequim
  • Larger residential lots
  • Near Olympic Discovery Trail
  • More traditional subdivision feel
  •

Carlsborg Village (Lennar)

A newer master-planned area just west of Sequim proper near Carlsborg. Lennar is building several collections here.

Rolling Hills

Another newer Lennar development with mostly one-story homes and low-maintenance lots. Located near the east side of Sequim.

Known for: Rambler-style homes, Smaller yards, HOA-maintained appearance, Easy aging-in-place layouts. Good option if you want newer construction without a huge property to maintain.

Westbay

A newer long-term master-planned development from the Seabrook team that’s still evolving. It’s designed as a walkable mixed-use neighborhood with homes, cottages, retail, parks, and waterfront access concepts.

This is probably the most ambitious “new urbanist” style project proposed for Sequim.

Potential appeal:

  • Walkability
  • Community-focused design
  • Modern architecture standards
  • Long-term appreciation potential

But it’s earlier-stage than Cedar Ridge or Lennar communities.

Rural & Acreage Housing

A large portion of Sequim housing is:

Custom homes on 1–5 acres

Water and/or Mountain-view parcels

Small farms

Horse properties

Lavender farm acreage

Popular areas:

  • Bell Hill
  • Happy Valley
  • Carlsborg
  • Dungeness
  • Diamond Point
  • Blue Mountain area

These are especially attractive to retirees wanting space without dense suburban living.
